The Role: Product Owner


As a Product Owner, you'll be responsible for developing and executing solutions strategies designed to drive overall business. You will develop product solutions, help with Go-to-Market strategy, and significant business relationships to execute on the huge market potential and benefits possible from applying Billhighway’s technologies in this area.


As part of the Product team, you bridge the technical and business worlds as you design software and services that our customers love. You'll work with Billhighway team members from Development, Growth, Project Success, Marketing, and Finance, to name just a few. You have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at speed. As a Product Owner, you will be part of shaping Billhighway’s future.


What you will do:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to develop and maintain a product roadmap in their area
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on roadmap and delivery timelines
  • Ability to establish and drive Product POV for new product initiatives as well as incremental improvements
  • Collaborate with Development team throughout the ‘design to build’ cycle
  • Groom and prioritize product backlog
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria against backlog items
  • Coordinate and collaborate with client project managers, UX designers, and developers to ensure user stories are understood and defined so that the software team can build against user stories
  • Provide functional specifications to development team (focus on “what” needs to be built vs. “how)
  • Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
  • Analyze preferences and requests of end users
  • Keep track of industry trends - both within the verticals that Billhighway serves as well as in the UX and web usability space


What you will need:


  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management, engineering and technology strategy role
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Ability to think critically with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects with limited management oversight, including timelines, tasks, teams, group dynamics, etc.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in business problem definitions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
