The Role:  DevOps Engineer


The DevOps Engineer will focus on operational and security monitoring as well as the care of the infrastructure and software platforms. The DevOps Engineer will serve as the liaison between team developers, IT, and external cloud providers for deployment, operational efficiency, security, and business continuity.



What you will do:


  • Work closely with the development team and subject matter experts to help establish a technical vision for our operational environment, and analyze tradeoffs between performance, scalability, and usability needs.
  • Provide continuous support to delivery programs by implementing patches, new versions, and bug fixes deployed to end users without sacrificing stability or reliability.
  • Review user-reported bugs, crash logs, and software reviews to identify areas that need improvement and attention.
  • Monitor and address system alerts related to failures, performance, and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to perform server patching and system upgrades.
  • Monitor SQL Server performance as well as SQL Server Availability Groups; make recommendations related to SQL Server tuning.
  • Assist in implementing security processes and controls partnering with IT and the Compliance team.
  • Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support 24/7/365 environments.
  • Debug cluster-based computing architectures; use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
  • Recommend, install, and manage monitoring tools.
  • Assist with our architecture for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management.
  • 7+ years of experience working in an Agile/Waterfall and DevOps process environment.
  • Experience in Azure software deployment, Azure management and CI/CD technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, specifically related to software deployment and delivery.
  • Knowledge of DevOps best practices relating to SDLC and release processes.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with continuous integration and improvement using source control, automated build/test, and code coverage analysis tools.
  • CI/CD pipeline creation and management skills, including testing and automation.
  • Ability to attack challenges and solve problems.
  • Product and technology savvy. Ability to learn and keep up to date with developments in the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with both technical and non-technical professionals at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities.
